Responsibilities:

As a Project Manager, you will take on a pivotal role in overseeing development projects closely tied to external suppliers. This dynamic responsibility encompasses a diverse range of essential tasks and responsibilities that are crucial to project success.

  • Managing Projects: Lead and manage projects with a focus on 3rd party suppliers, ensuring timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to quality standards. Employ effective project management methodologies to drive project success
  • Supplier Collaboration: Collaborate closely with 3rd party suppliers, establishing strong relationships and effectively managing their performance. Ensure clear communication, alignment of goals, and timely resolution of issues.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Develop and monitor project budgets, ensuring effective utilization of resources and cost control. Identify and mitigate risks to project timelines and deliverables.
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Foster collaboration among cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and stakeholders, to achieve project objectives. Facilitate effective communication, provide guidance, and resolve conflicts as needed.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure that project deliverables meet the required standards and specifications. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Generate timely and accurate reports on project progress, highlighting key milestones, risks, and opportunities. Maintain comprehensive documentation, including project plans, specifications, and relevant correspondence.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field: background in propulsion systems within the marine sector or relevant experience is preferred.
  • Proven Project Management Experience: Demonstrate a successful track record of managing complex projects, preferably in a tech-heavy environment. 
  • Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of propulsion systems and powertrains in the marine sector, including familiarity of various technologies, components, and their integration within marine applications.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. The ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and collaborate with stakeholders is essential. Norwegian language skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong Organizational and Planning Skills: Showcase exceptional organizational and planning abilities, including management of timelines, resources, and deliverables. Proven attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Quality-focused Mindset: Possess a strong commitment to quality, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements. Experience with quality assurance processes and methodologies is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Documentation: Demonstrate the ability to produce high-quality technical documentation, including project plans, reports, and specifications.
