Evoy is seeking a Cloud / Backend Developer for our Apps & Cloud team in Florø.

You will be part of a small, cross-disciplinary team that develops and maintains digital platforms for Evoy, Vita Yachts and Taiga Motors—from mobile apps and portals to IoT integration and cloud architecture.

Evoy designs, develops and delivers world-leading high-performance fully electric motor systems, especially for fast boats between 20 and 50 feet. We are leaders in technology and performance, with a strong identity and product design that has significant appeal in an international market.

About the role

As a Cloud/Backend Developer you will play a central role in developing and operating our cloud infrastructure. You will work with multi-tenant APIs, IoT integration, databases and data pipelines, ensuring stability in our deliveries. The role requires flexibility—as a small team, we all contribute where needed.

Responsibilities

You will be expected to:

Develop and maintain APIs and backend services in Azure and AWS
Integrate IoT devices and edge solutions with the cloud platform
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines
Ensure scalability, security and stability in solutions
Further develop and maintain infrastructure for over-the-air updates
Collaborate closely with frontend and mobile developers for cohesive deliveries

Desired qualifications

Candidates should preferably have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an IT-related field. Relevant experience can compensate for lack of formal education.

We imagine you have:

Experience with C#/.NET or another object-oriented language and cloud development (Azure/AWS)
Familiarity with IoT architecture and data pipelines
Competence in CI/CD, container technologies and infrastructure as code (IaC)
Understanding of security and scalability in cloud-based solutions
Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies
Experience with NoSQL and relational databases
