Earlier this year, Marte Rostrup Hofset joined the Evoy C-level team as our Chief Commercial Officer. She brings a wealth of experience to the role, with a Bachelor’s degree in International Business and a Master’s in Strategy, Organization, and Leadership, as well as sales and marketing experience from companies such as Google, DNB, Ondeck Capital, and Favrit. Her expertise has already proven to be valuable for the Evoy Commercial team, taking us to the next level in terms of performance and success.
Her enthusiasm, knowledge, and excellent leadership skills make her a valuable asset in our Go To Market strategy as we aim to bring the electric Evoy motor systems to an international audience. She is a beacon for the team and we are confident that we will be able to achieve our objectives and make a lasting impact on the world of electric boating with her at the helm.
We have asked Marte to share a few things about herself and her role in Evoy
What is your main focus in your role?
As CCO, I prioritize Marketing, Sales and Partnerships. Building a solid team, defining clear go-to-market strategies, and cultivating relationships with dealerships are crucial to my success in this role
Why did you choose Evoy as part of your next career move?
The electrification trend is something I wholeheartedly believe in, which is why I’m thrilled to be working for Evoy. I have complete faith in the company and its leadership.
Do you have a passion for boating, the ocean, and sustainability?
I do! I have a passion for sustainability and a great love for the ocean. My favourite place on earth is Hvaler, a little place by the sea.
How do you see the future of Electric Boats?
At this point, we are 5-10 years behind the car industry. Once we reach 5% of the electric vehicle market, we will reach the inflection point. By 2030, I believe close to 20% of new boats will be electric, which is very exciting.
Anything you would like to share about yourself?
I love spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy exploring the world and the outdoors.

Åge Højmark, a native of Stavanger and resident of Ålesund, has recently joined Evoy as the Chief Operating Officer. With a background in engineering and finance, primarily in the medical device, marine, and mobility industries, he brings a wealth of experience to the company. Åge has worked in both small and large companies, gaining expertise in various business areas and operating on a global scale.
Åge is enthusiastic about his new role as COO and is looking forward to playing a central role in ramping up production to meet demand. And so are we!
What is your main focus in your role?
My main focus will be on developing the organization and our processes to enable us to grow with confidence. Some of the immediate focus areas are product cost and supplier relationships, as well as continuing the effort to industrialize our production and improving our service and support process to ensure the best customer experience.
Why did you choose Evoy as part of your next career move?
I have a commercial mindset and thrive on challenges, the opportunity to contribute, and make a difference. In that sense, working for a startup focused on the shift to a more sustainable future is a unique opportunity. Evoy’s pole position in the shift to electric boating promises to be an exciting ride.
Do you have a passion for boating, the ocean, and sustainability?
I have lived most of my life near the ocean and spent much of my youth on or near the water. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve had other priorities and haven’t had as much time to spend on the water, but I always enjoy it when I do. Sustainability is something I feel passionate about. It’s not easy, but each and every one of us has a responsibility to leave the planet in better shape than when we arrived.
How do you see the future of Electric Boats?
I see a bright future for electric boats. With advances in technology and an increasing focus on sustainability, I believe that electric boats will become increasingly popular in the coming years. Electric boats offer a number of benefits over traditional gasoline-powered boats, including reduced emissions, lower operating costs, and quieter operation. I think that as more people become aware of these benefits, and as the technology continues to improve, electric boats will become the norm, rather than the exception. I also think that governments and organizations will play a role in promoting the use of electric boats, through initiatives such as subsidies and incentives.
Anything you would like to share about yourself?
As mentioned I enjoy a challenge. In my spare time this includes challenging my mental and physical barriers through hiking and back country skiing
